travel the world...

... via webcam :)

So, my husband just returned from a business trip to London. He was gone for a number of days, and in the meantime I lived virtually with him via the internet. Its kind of amazing that we could get on our webcams and he could show me the room he was staying in, I even got a look of the view outside his hotel window! (I saw one of those red double-decker buses go by! hee...)

(Here's my son pointing to "the city"... He enjoyed watching all the buses and trucks go by!)

I also spent the week watching various views of London on live streaming webcams that are set up around the city, facing different landmarks. I mostly watched this one of Trafalgar Square (supposedly the most congested intersection in the city). It is fun to watch, and if only my husband and I had coordinated our time-differences... He went there and took some pictures.. had we known he could have waved to me! :)

Happy Valentine's Day :)

My son and I made Valentines to mail out to his little friends. Stickers, crayons, glue sticks, paper hearts, and print outs of some of his favorite tv characters. He loves crafty activities and drawing... (*happy mommy dance*)

Here we are making Valentine "cookies" out of play-dough... if you look closely at the tray, we also made Steve from Blue's Clues sitting on his thinking chair, Blue, Magenta, and a pawprint! (He may have had a little help with that...) ;)

the drawing game

Have you ever played the "drawing game?" If you haven't, try it, especially with kids because they have pretty random thoughts... which comes in handy when playing this game. Get a piece of paper. And something to write with...... (duh) You each take a turn telling the other person to draw something. My favorites are socks, a dancing hot dog, and of course... a squirrel.

I love it when anyone says, "I can't draw!" Everyone can. Try this game, and you'll see :) "Draw me a squirrel."

You know you wanna.
